Carolines on Braodway Announces Comedy Headliners for January 2012  E-mail

Carolines on Broadway, “America’s Premier Comedy Nightclub,” announces its all-star line-up for the month of January 2012.  

Highlighted by headliners Tracy Morgan, from NBC’s “30 Rock” and “Saturday Night Live” and the film “Cop Out,” on January 1; Amy Schumer, from “The Comedy Central Roast of Charlie Sheen” and Sirius XM Radio’s “Opie & Anthony,” January 5 – 8; Paul Mooney, “Negrodamus” from Comedy Central’s “Chappelle’s Show” and from his stand-up specials “Jesus Was Black” and “Paul Mooney:  It’s the End of the World,” January 7 and 8, 19 – 22; three-time Emmy Award winner Judy Gold, star of the hit Off-Broadway show “The Judy Show” and from ABC’s “The View,” on January 12; Sommore, “The Queen of Comedy” from the films “Soul Plane” and “Next Friday” and BET’s “ComicView,” January 13 – 15; Donnell Rawlings, “Ashy Larry” from Comedy Central’s “Chappelle’s Show” and from HBO’s “The Wire” and E!’s “Chelsea Lately,” January 19, 20 and 22; Nick DiPaolo, from his Showtime special “Raw Nerve,” FX Network’s “Louie,” and his syndicated radio show “The Nick and Artie Show,” January 21; D.L. Hughley, from Spike Lee’s “The Original Kings of Comedy,” the sitcom “The Hughleys” and the film “Soul Plane,” January 25 and 26; and Tom Green, from “The Tom Green Show” and the films “Freddie Got Fingered” and “Road Trip” and NBC’s “Celebrity Apprentice,” January 26 – 29.

Carolines on Broadway’s theme nights for the month of January are Late Night Comedy, featuring Michael Che, Chris DiStefano, Sam Morril, and Dan Soder, on January 1 and 29; the Breakout Artist Comedy Series on January 3 (starring Nick Turner), January 4 (starring Adam Newman), and January 11 (starring Sean Attebury); Carolines New Talent on January 9, 16, 23 and 30; Ed Lover and Friends, hosted by 98.7 KISS-FM’s Ed Lover, on January 18; and the Don’t Get Gassed Comedy Series, hosted by Hot 97’s Cipha Sounds, on January 31.

Other events taking place at Carolines on Broadway in January are Hangover Hypnosis, featuring hypnotist Matthew James, on New Year’s Day, January 1; Carolines Presents, featuring Vince August, Michael Che, Chris DiStefano, Harrison Greenbaum, Mike Lawrence, Sam Morril, Josh Rabinowitz, and Dan Soder, on January 1 and 10; Three of a Kind, featuring Michael Che, Chris DiStefano, and Dan Soder, on January 5; and Mike Sommerville, from VH-1 and the reality show “Wingman,”  headlines on January 24.
