Come Thursday, fans of Carlo's Bake Shop in Hoboken can stay in New York and shop at the Cake Boss Cafe, which opens at 10:00 AM today at Discovery Times Square, the exhibit space at 226 W. 44th St.

Discovery Times Square Exposition is an exhibition space in New York City that opened June 24, 2009 that specializes in traveling exhibitions. It is located in Times Square in the basement in the former printing plant area of the Times Square Building (the former New York Times Building).

Buddy Valastro, known as the 'Cake Boss', decided to expand his business due to the volume of New Yorkers who visit Carlo's. The waiting lines at Carlo's run six hours deep at times.

Carlo's Bakery was founded in 1910 by Carlo Guastaferro, and purchased by Buddy Valastro Sr. in 1964. Buddy Valastro Jr. currently runs the bakery, with help from his four older sisters, three brothers-in-law, as well other assorted family members and friends.

The bakery rose to fame in April 2009 with the premiere of Cake Boss, a reality television series on TLC that depicts the staff of the Bake Shop creating their elaborate baked goods. As of February 21, 2011, there have been a total of four seasons and sixty episodes of the show.

Valastro has an order for a second season of "Kitchen Boss," his daily cooking show for TLC, and also is shooting a second season of "The Next Great Baker," a reality contest he hosts.

Though the store will only carry Valastro's smaller baked goods like; cannolis, lobster tails, and cupcakes, they will also feature branded items from 'Cake Boss”, Carlo's Bake Shop and Disovery Times Square.

For the bigger items that are seen on the hit show, which returns May 30th on TLC, customers will still have to trek to Hoboken.

So visit the new store and indulge in a terrific pastry, and who knows, you may see some 'Cake Boss' stars or Valstro himself.
