FSLC’s popular Scary Movies film series returns with a collection of frightful classics that will give you goosebumps. The lineup of films includes Ben Wheatley’s genre-crossing KILL LIST, Ti West’s supernatural caper THE INNKEEPERS, Scott Leberecht’s fresh take on vampirism MIDNIGHT SON, and the deliciously grotesque multiple-director omnibus THE THEATRE BIZARRE, as well as Mariano Baino’s 1993 nunsploitation film, DARK WATERS.

Scary Movies will also feature a special live performance of  “Nevermore,” Jeffrey Combs’s one-man portrayal of the Father of Gothic Horror, Edgar Allan Poe, directed by Stuart Gordon and written by Dennis Paoli. The performance will mark the first-ever staging in New York City. The presentation of “Nevermore” will help kick off a Halloween dedicated Poe, including screenings of Stuart Gordon’s “The Black Cat” from the Masters of Horror season 2, as well as the Roger Corman/Vincent Price gem HOUSE OF USHER.

Finally, “The Black Cat” will be part of a trio of feline terror within the Scary Movies series, including the North American premiere of the brand-new K-Horror film THE CAT and a rare showing of the 1969 film EYE OF THE CAT, starring Michael Sarrazin and Eleanor Powell.

Combs and Gordon will also be present to introduce a screening of their gore classic RE-ANIMATOR. And finally there will be the screenings of two masterpieces of the occult and the supernatural: THE SEVENTH VICTIM and POLTERGEIST.
