As foully simple as online shopping is, television’s infomercials persist. Although, given the augmented popularity of e-commerce since its inception in the mid 1990s, a reflection concerning the sustained existence of the Home Shopping Network in addition to www.HSN.com prompts, at the very least, smidgens of astonishment. However, a cursory glance through the HSN holiday season’s look book nourishes the curiosity of even the most skeptical of shoppers.
This winter, the network’s diverse selection of artificial pelts warrants nothing less then applause. I have yet to find a brick and mortar retailer willing to carry runway trappers for fewer than fifty dollars, let alone, in grey, black and brown faux fur.
In addition, accessories and handbags to suit any temperature below freezing will be available in prices ranging from $20.00 to $200.00. Why not say, “Yes,” to an old-world inspired faux fur beret available in Redwood and Russian Black Mink or Angola Ocelot?
Oh! But the compilation of pleather belongings merits reverence as well. Available for $59.90 are sets of hand gloves by Adrienne Landau and Serena Williams. The former designer boasts pairs clad with detachable faux fur, while the latter offers a striking topside ruffle.
But how is one to transport all the gifts and treasures received after spending the holidays alongside family friends? HSN had enough foresight to carry not just one, but three exquisitely peculiar sacks. Especially intriguing are the Anna Griffin Duffle tamed by floral accents and the Queen collection’s faux fur weekender. Both come in at under $200.00.
This holiday season, instead of blasting through packed mall corridors plop that posterior on the sofa aside loved ones. Coddle an overstuffed belly by cupping some cider. Tell those without slippers to fear not. HSN can cozy those bare toes for under $40.00. Express delivery available!
