![]() On September 15, 2011 @ 6 PM at Lincoln Center in the Studio during Mercedes-Benz Fashion Week, Elene Cassis will show her Spring 2012 Collection. Cassis's new runway presentation is inspired by the Greek fret or Greek key. Meanders are among the most important symbols in Ancient Greece; they symbolize infinity and unity and appear in bands in Greek art. This motif will enhance the clean sophisticated silhouettes that Elene Cassis's ready-to-wear is known for. Color will make a spectacular entrance on the runway with a yellow key inspired print, along with a red and white geo pattern which opposes the yellow for a dramatic touch. Aqua sea foam and salmon in soft tones as well as a flat matte pink silk define the elegant side of the season. Cassis's signature black and white will also make a memorable impression in a geometric print followed by a silk blend beige tweed with gold specs uniting a rich and classic texture to the full presentation. Elene Cassis made an indelible impression with her beautiful pieces soon after her graduation from Parson's School of Design in 2009. Her collection can be found in Neiman Marcus and just under one hundred notable specialty stores nationwide. This year she was also bestowed the honor of being one of the finalists for The Fashion Group International's, Rising Star Award.
